An Ijazah is a formal authorization to teach and transmit the Qur'an, awarded by an already-certified instructor as part of an unbroken chain of transmission reaching back through generations of scholars.
Students must already be a Hafiz-ul-Qur'an before enrolling. Each student's current proficiency is assessed first, and the required program, number of classes, and learning methodology are determined accordingly. Students must complete Quranic recitation with proper Tajweed rules before a certified tutor to obtain the certificate.
